Hawaiian MANA Stretch is a stretching practice using a pole, accompanied by deep breathing to relax the body. It’s a time to gently pause the movement of your body, mind, and thoughts, and fully connect with yourself. This session provides relaxation and nourishment to your body, mind, and thoughts.

Time: 10:00 – 12:00 (lesson starts at 10:15)
Capacity: 4 participants
Participation Fee: 3,300 yen per session
What to bring: Bath towel, face towel, drink
After the session, we’ll enjoy fermented tea and share any concerns about body and mind.

Let’s pay attention to your breathing, something we often take for granted. Breathing is essential for the body, mind, and autonomic nervous system. Feel your body through the breath.
May 21st (Tuesday)
Feeling the Body
Through breathing, experience deep relaxation for your constantly moving body, as well as your internal organs, mind, and heart. Let’s feel each part of the body.
June 25th (Tuesday)
Storing Energy
Feel the energy (MANA) flowing through your body, balance stillness and movement by resting and circulating this energy.
July 23rd (Tuesday)
Connecting with the Earth, Connecting with the Body
Using a ball, we will focus on the feet and approach the whole body. Let’s feel the support of the earth beneath our feet with each step.
August 27th (Tuesday)
True Relaxation
Release tension throughout your entire body and focus on your breathing. What does it mean for the body to truly relax? What is true relaxation?
September 24th (Tuesday)
Body and Thoughts
Using a ball, we will approach the entire body from the face. Through this, you’ll notice the habitual thought patterns, beliefs, and limitations you hold.
October 22nd (Tuesday)
Space
Do you take time to look up at the sky? Do you take time to feel your breath? Let’s use this session to pay attention to your body and your inner thoughts.
November 26th (Tuesday)
Looking Inward
Instead of getting caught up in the events of daily life, let’s feel the state of your body and mind through deep relaxation.

Gratitude
Let’s express gratitude to the body that has worked tirelessly throughout the year. While stretching, speak kind words to each part of your body, acknowledging its hard work.
INSTRUCTOR
Yuki Yamaoka
A mother of two, Yuki struggled in her early 20s with how to live life joyfully and found herself facing challenges and discomfort. During this time, she discovered the ancient Hawaiian philosophy and Lomi Lomi (traditional oil massage). She learned how to live a life that cherishes both body and mind, which she now practices. In 2018, she opened her home salon, manawa.
